b. Watch and listen.

This is the first part of a video from Deep Look, introducing some recent research into crow behaviour. There is some advanced vocabulary in the voiceover, so try to understand as much as you can from the context and from what you see.

  • What do we learn about crows from watching this clip?

c. Imagine and speak.

The next part of the video will describe Kaeli Swift’s experiment investigating the reasons for the crows’ behaviour.

  • What do you think this experiment involved?
  • If you were tasked with finding out why crows react in this way to a death, what experiment would you do?

d. Watch, listen and compare with your previous answer.

  • What was Kaeli Swift’s experiment?
  • What were the results?

e. Do Worksheet 3.

This 2-page worksheet gets you working with vocabulary from the video, learning about animal group names, and discussing questions relating to this research.
