Of course, you should go to the public meetings to make sure your voice is heard.

.

a. Think and make notes

  • What are your priorities for the new city? Think about the most important things the city will need, so that the people who live there will be safe, healthy and happy.
  • Think about important things which will need to be different in this new city.
  • Make some notes of your ideas. Try to come up with a list of 8-10 priorities.

.

.

b. You’re more likely to be heard if you’re part of a group.

So, get together with the people around you and share your ideas.

  • Try to narrow the list down to 5 main priorities which you can speak about at the public meeting later on.
  • Also, brainstorm and agree on 5 questions which you would like the government representatives to answer.
