Lesson: EXPERIENCES (A2-B1)

4. Telling Stories

a. Prepare

Think of 3-4 experiences to tell the class. These should be a mixture of true and untrue, like the experiences your teacher shared in part 1 of this lesson. They should all use the present perfect. If you can’t think of experiences from your own life, you could share stories about friends or family, for example “My sister has travelled into space”.

b. Share

Then get together with another student and listen to their experiences. Ask questions to find out more details. Try to guess which are the untrue stories.

  • Remember, when asking and answering questions about the details of a past experience, you need past simple tense (When did you…, How did you…, etc.).
